A letter to Molly
My darling Molly,It's hard for me to express in words what you mean to me. When you entered my world my days became brighter. True, my nights also grew shorter but I am certain that you will start sleeping again one of these days. You are my second daughter so I thought I had some idea of what to expect. I am perhaps better prepared for the diaper changes and the late night wake-up calls than I was with Sonja, but I was unprepared for the effect your smile has on my heart.
I look into your eyes and I see reflected back an image of me and your mother and all that is beautiful between us. I see in your face a welcoming sense of family and familiarity. I hear in your laugh hope and optimism unabated and it melts me.
Please know that minute that we are apart you are with me.
